Installation Process
Once a contract is signed with our customer we quickly begin the information gathering phase of the project and a Site Surveyor will be scheduled to visit the home in order to collect necessary information.
Site Survey
A Surveyor will come to your home to collect data of the roof and roof structure in the attic (if available) along with full analysis of the electrical equipment.
- Photos of existing electrical equipment and locations adjacent.
- Roof structure measurements and roof top dimensions.
- Some photos and measurements inside the home may be needed.
- The entire visit should take 45 minutes (up to 2 hours for large homes).
Design and Permiting
Site Survey will quickly shoot the gathered info to our design and permitting team that will partner with our installation team to have the design approved.
- Once engineering has a design the customer will approve before permitting begins.
- HOA approval will occur at this time.
- Customer will receive a request to sign the Utility Interconnection Application from the Utility.
- Next, is just to schedule the install when a SunSaguaro crew is available next.
Installation
We can usually book an install around 2 weeks out from the time of Permit/Utility Docs Ready.
- Most installs take a day.
- Battery installs take 2 days.
- Electricity will be off briefly during install and crew will notify the customer of timing.
- Crew will be professional and introduce upon arrival.
- The hard work is done. Now we wait for the AHJ to approve the construction.
Inspection
The Install Team will digitally finalize the job and our Inspections Team picks it up through app notification.
- Many inspections are scheduled the very next day.
- Customer will be notified once the AHJ provides a date for the inspection.
- Customer may be required to be home during the inspection.
- Inspections do get cancelled so our punctuality is key.
PTO and Service
Once the Utility grants permission to turn on the system you begin generating electricity and we make sure like a hawk it produces as intended.
- The Utility may stop by to inspect and approve.
- Your system comes with monitoring software so you know if something needs attention.
- SunSaguaro employees honor all service and warranty calls.
- We offer an industry leading 25 year warranty on equipment and workmanship (roof Penetrations).

Distributed Generation (rooftop solar) is the smartest form of renewable energy we have today. While utility companies profit most from transmission, solar on your roof is most sustainable in many ways.
