STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING
Build a portfolio of properties and meters,
establish current energy demand, model future
loads and evaluate solar, rates and long-term
energy strategy.
VERSION 0.2 — MULTI-METER
A Strategic Energy Plan can now contain multiple properties and meters. Each meter can use an estimate, monthly bills or interval data.
A Strategic Energy Plan can now contain multiple properties and meters. Each meter can use an estimate, monthly bills or interval data.
STEP 01
Strategic Energy Plan
One plan can include an entire tribal portfolio
with many facilities, properties and utility meters.
STEP 02
Properties + Meters
Each meter keeps its own location, property
characteristics, utility information and energy data.
PROJECT METER PORTFOLIO
Add one meter or hundreds.
| METER | PROPERTY | LOCATION | TYPE | DATA QUALITY | ANNUAL kWh | ACTIONS |

PROPERTY + LOCATIONLocation
ADDRESS AND/OR COORDINATES
Enter an address when one exists. For remote land,
substations, lagoons, generation sites or undeveloped
property, latitude and longitude can be used instead.
You can also enter both.
Property Characteristics
STEP 03
Energy Baseline
Build the best available load profile for each
individual meter.
STANDARD ESTIMATE
Use property characteristics and an
energy-use benchmark.
MONTHLY BILLS
Enter actual monthly kWh, peak demand
and utility cost.
INTERVAL DATA
Upload 1-minute, 5-minute, 15-minute,
hourly or other interval data.
Estimated Energy Usage

Upload Interval CSV
The prototype inspects the file and records the interval. Later versions will normalize utility-specific formats automatically.

STEP 04
Future Energy
Future loads can apply to one meter or to the
entire portfolio.

STEP 05
Solar Resource + PV
Solar can eventually be modeled by meter,
property or portfolio.
In the next version, each property's address or
latitude/longitude can be used to request solar
resource data automatically from NREL.
STEP 06
Utility Rates
This is still a simplified portfolio rate model.
Per-meter tariffs are coming next.
STEP 07
Portfolio Results
Results roll individual meter baselines into one
project-wide strategic energy picture.
